have to refuse a job offer. It's almost unavoidable. On this

There are many reasons why you might not accept a job offer
but the reason you state for decining doesn't have to be real.
The following specimen letter is suitable for most
situations.

Thank you for your letter of [DATE] offering me
the position of [JOB TITLE] with [COMPANY
NAME].
I was very pleased to receive the offer and
after very careful consideration, have
reluctantly decided not to accept on this
occasion.
Although the terms of the offer are very
generous, I feel that the role is not quite
what I am looking for at this time.
I would like to thank you for considering my
application and I wish you every success in
filling the position.
